What Is The NDIS?
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government program designed to help Australians with disabilities access the support they need to live their lives fully. It provides funding for services, equipment, and more to help improve independence and well-being.

Are you Eligible?
To be eligible for the NDIS, you must meet the following criteria:
Eligibility Checklist
If you are aged between 9 and 65, a Local Area Coordinator (LAC) can assist you in understanding the NDIS, help you apply, and connect you to additional government and community supports.
Age Requirements
You must be between the ages of 9 and 65.
Residency Requirements
You need to be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or a holder of a Protected Special Category Visa.
Disability Requirements
You must have a disability caused by a permanent impairment.
Early Intervention Requirements
If you require supports now to reduce your future need for assistance, you may be eligible.
If your family needs support to build skills to better assist you, you may also qualify.
